Understanding LinkedIn's connection request message restrictions for free accounts

LinkedIn has recently introduced changes to personalized connection request message allowances, affecting a portion of users with free LinkedIn accounts.

In addition to the limit on the number of connection requests, LinkedIn has also introduced a character restriction to a maximum of 200 characters instead of 300.

After the initial 5-20 restricted connection requests, there is a general limitation that prevents users from personalizing their connection requests. This means that users will have to rely on the default message provided by LinkedIn when sending connection requests beyond the restricted limit.

These new restrictions have been put in place to steer users towards opting for premium plans.

Note that the limit resets every month. However, for full lead generation potential with Dux-Soup, we recommend purchasing the cheapest LinkedIn plan.

You can still send non-personalized connection requests with free LinkedIn and Dux-Soup.
