Fix: Google automatically signs you into LinkedIn when starting a new Cloud Agency session

If you’re a Cloud Agency admin and you’re experiencing an issue where you’re automatically signed into your own LinkedIn account when creating a new session, it’s likely because your Google account is connected to LinkedIn through the “Sign in with Google” feature.

When that link exists, LinkedIn automatically logs you in using your Google account email - even if you're trying to create a completely new session for a different LinkedIn account.

There are two ways to fix this: disconnecting the link from your Google account, or blocking third-party sign-in for LinkedIn directly in Chrome. We recommend doing both for a permanent fix.

Method 1: Remove LinkedIn from your Google account connections

  1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/connections
  2. Look for LinkedIn under the list of connected apps and sites
  3. Click LinkedIn, then choose Remove Access (or Disconnect)

Once you remove LinkedIn from your Google account connections, the automatic sign-in will stop. After that, you'll be able to create a new session without LinkedIn automatically logging you in with your Google credentials.

Method 2: Block third-party sign-in for LinkedIn in Chrome

If the automatic sign-in continues (or you'd like an extra layer of prevention), you can block Chrome from offering third-party sign-in on LinkedIn specifically:

  1. Open a new Chrome tab and go to: chrome://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com
  2. Scroll down to the Third-party sign-in setting
  3. Set it to Block

This stops Chrome from using your signed-in Google account to automatically authenticate you on LinkedIn, even if the account link still exists on Google's side.

Using both methods together gives you the most reliable fix if you manage multiple LinkedIn sessions through Cloud Agency.
