Can I upload custom message markers?

Custom message fields are avaible in Expert UI for Pro and Turbo users when using the Revist Data Tool.


Custom message markers are especially useful when you want to randomise your messages or include personalisation elements, such as gender-based greetings (e.g. Mr / Mrs).

You can use custom message markers in:

  • Connection request messages
  • Direct messages
  • InMails

This applies when using the Revisit Data Tool together with Visit Profiles or Visit & Connect. Custom message fields are not available when using Enroll Profiles, meaning they cannot be used in Drip campaigns.


Custom Message Markers

You can include up to five custom message markers. These markers act as placeholders for dynamic content and are automatically replaced with data from your CSV file when the message is sent.


CSV File Requirements

Your CSV file must follow the correct format and is case-sensitive. It must include the following columns:

  • Profile — LinkedIn profile URL
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • P1
  • P2
  • P3
  • P4
  • P5

Using Custom Markers in Messages

When creating your message template, use underscores on both sides of the marker (for example, _P1_ or _P2_) to indicate where the custom message fields should appear. This allows Dux-Soup to recognise and replace them with the corresponding values from your CSV file.

I see you work in _P4_, let's connect!

Custom message markers cannot be used to replace the entire message. They are intended to personalize parts of the message only.
