Fix: disable AI Auto-Draft in LinkedIn Recruiter to prevent message failures


If you are using Dux-Soup with LinkedIn Recruiter, you must disable LinkedIn’s AI auto-draft features for InMail and direct messaging.

LinkedIn Recruiter includes AI-Assisted Message features that automatically generate message drafts when composing InMails.

When enabled, these features override the native message editor, which prevents Dux-Soup from reliably injecting or sending messages.

As a result, messages and InMails may fail, or campaigns may appear to run but deliver nothing.


Features that must be disabled

1. Enable AI message auto-draft

Automatically generates AI drafts when composing a single InMail.

2. Enable AI bulk message auto-draft

Automatically generates AI drafts when composing bulk InMails.


How to disable AI auto-draft in LinkedIn Recruiter (contract-wide)

As a Recruiter Product Settings or Account Center admin, follow these steps:

  1. In LinkedIn Recruiter, hover over your profile picture
  2. Select Product settings
  3. Go to Preferences under Company Settings
  4. Find Enable AI message auto-draft/AI bulk message auto-draft
  5. Click Edit
  6. Set the option to Off

  • This change is safe and reversible.
  • Recruiters can still write and send messages manually.
  • If not disabled, Dux-Soup messaging and InMails will not work.
  • This requirement applies only to LinkedIn Recruiter, not Sales Navigator or standard LinkedIn.
