Can I send InMails or messages to Open profiles?

With Dux-Soup, you can send free InMails to OpenLink profiles if you are using a Sales Navigator account.

What is an OpenLink Profile?

This is a recipient-side setting. If a Premium member has enabled "Open Profile," they have explicitly opted into receiving messages from anyone on the platform for free, even though they are not your 1st-degree connection.

When you visit a profile with Open badge, you will see a Message button that opens an InMail form - even if the profile is not a 1st-degree connection

What if a prospect's account is not an OpenLink profile?

You can send InMails if you have InMail credits.

Can I use Premium LinkedIn to send InMails to OpenLink Profiles?

Dux-Soup can recognise OpenLink profiles on Sales Navigator only.

  • Next, use Sales Navigator to define your target People list.
  • In your Dux-Soup settings, ensure you have the correct skipping rule enabled:  Click on the Dux-Soup icon in your browser and in the ‘Skipping tab’ select “Skip if not an OpenLink member”.

  • To enroll prospects on a campaign, click on your Dux-Sup icon, select Enroll, and then select your Campaign name.

  • Once you've pressed 'OK', Dux-Soup will start scheduling InMails.

Dux-Soup will visit every profile. If the profile is not open, it will skip the InMail; if the profile has an Open badge, it will send the InMail.

Notes

  • Premium InMail message credits cannot be used to send InMail messages through Sales Navigator or LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • OpenLink InMail campaigns only work on Sales Navigator.
  • LinkedIn typically allows around 100 free OpenLink InMail messages per month, although this limit may change over time.
