How to set up Name Scrubber

With the help of Name Scrubber, you can exclude unwanted abbreviations and emojis from LinkedIn profiles, resulting in better message personalization. Name Scrubber is used in all Dux-Soup automated message markers for _FN_ (First Name) and _LN_ (Last Name).

The Name Scrubber is located within the expert user interface on the Options page, under the Actions tab.

How to enable the expert interface.

To exclude specific words, emojis, or abbreviations from the name or last name message markers, simply add them to the list, separated by a comma ‘,’.


By default, Dux-Soup already excludes the following words:

bsn, ceo, certified, copywriter, cpc, digital, dr, drs, expert, freelance, hubspot, internet, lion, lme, lmt, ma, marketing, mba, md, mim, msc, ninja, online, pharma, phd, ppc, seo, sip, videoseo, FAAFP, CHCQM
